I would like to inform you about a Vietnamese invention of agarwood inducement technique.

 

We are now focusing our attention to study an advanced inducer that may be called as “Ant-processed Inducer” ( or ApI). ApI is a biological inducer that can be processed by selected tropical rainforest ants, in other words we have “factories” producing biological inducer whose workers and technicians are special fungus-growing ants. We think the fungus gardens created by selected special ant colonies, especially by carpenter ants and tropical rainforest ants, are beneficial to the formation of cultivated agarwood. The applications of ApI to Agarwood formation reached excellent results. ApI is a new invention patented by Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology.
